big decisions for Cowboys....and their fans

okay..it ended badly. admit it, if the Boyz arent in the Super Bowl
a season is wasted if you are a follower of the Good Guys with the stars
on their helmets. we got spoiled a long time ago and it just wont go away.
its our burden to bear and so we do.
which brings us to the off-season. this years is gonna be especially long.
free agent moves need to be made, whataya do ?? WR ? CB ? LB ?
which of the ones on our own team do you bring back ?
then after those choices are made its on to the draft.
woohoo...hold on to your hats...could be dicey, RB in the first round ??
or CB ? surely not a WR, but who really knows ? not me.
I dont even pretend that i know which direction jerry and wade and the braintrust
are gonna go. I also dont watch enough college ball to know who will make the BIG
jump to the next level and be great. lotta talking and guessing and just plain making
stuff up in the papers and on espn. take it all with a grain of salt.
besides i have a much more pressing dilemma.
WHO DO I WANT TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL ??
do i want the cheating, dirty, over talented, patriots to win and finish the
season undefeated ?? if it happens get ready to overdose on "greatest ever" stories
from every hack, blog and talking head out there. i am not really in the mood for
all that, but i am getting my mind ready for the possibility. i mean, be honest,
the Patriots are good, very good. i have watched them some, and i think whoever they
are playing has a good chance to beat them, and then next thing you know the pats
are pulling a victory out and i am left wondering what happened.
BUT...can i really root for the giants ?? thats gonna be hard to do too, although
since shockey isnt playing it wont make me as sick. i am not one of those eli bashers
either. be real, eli is an nfl qb, he has it in his blood and his brains. he may be
goofy looking, and he throws interceptions sometimes but he can and will beat you.
but i just cant root for the trash talking giants of jacobs and ohara can i??
i also cant watch a game without wanting one team to win. seems to lose its appeal
when i try that. so i gotta choose. anybody got a coin i can flip ??
later Poke

nooooo!! what's wrong with you poke? has your brain frozen up in yankee land? the ONLY team that you root for to win is the cowboys! when you watch a game not involving the boys you root for one team to lose but you do NOT root for the other team to win. me, i want the belicheaters to lose but don't make the mistake of thinking that i want the gi-ants to win. i would never want that.

as to the draft...why not a WR? will terry glenn be back? if not then who among our crew of others can take some heat off of TO? crayton? hurd? none of them have shown the ability yet. there will be several good WRs available when we pick so i say go for it. of course, knowing jerry he'll probably trade both of our first round picks for 12 sixth rounders. :-(

to straighten me out on this.
of course i won't root FOR the gints.

dastardly cheaters from beantown.

baseball....if nothing else cuz it means the weather will be warmer !

A couple of points to ponder. Suppose the New York football Giants do beat the near perfect Patriots. Doesn't that mean our beloved 'Boys got beat one of three by a championship caliber team? So if the college football gurus are right with their BCS system of rankings then The 'Boys must be National Champions of the NFL.
The other point. Would rooting on the Patriots be akin to rooting for the Bosox to beat the Yankees?
As for me, I'm rooting that GoDaddy has another banner year.
