hey buckaroos...warning BASEBALL talk too

been a while. holiday travel, hospital visits, poor internet connections.
i got plenty of excuses for not bloggin...
plus, if this is where i voice concerns i gotta be honest about something.
i am not real sure what to be concerned about.
i have never seen the Boys at 12-1 !! course i only been watching them
since the early 60's so what do i know.
i know our defense looked weak against the fearsome lions.
but we always play poorly in detroit.
and yeah i know our DB's are a little nicked up, and so is our RT and
our LB's seem to have disappeared in michigan.
but man 12-1 is too sweet not to just enjoy.
so thats what i been doing, just savoring the wins, stacking them up and
reveling in the greatness. telling myself to enjoy it cuz we all know how
quick it can slip away.
i do wanna say something about baseball here if you will bear with me though.
the "report" came out this week. lotta people named as using steroids. all the
talking idiots pontificating about who has ruined their chances to become hall of famers, big names too, some of the biggest. people saying they are through with baseball cuz its full of cheaters, and the big bucks and players moving from team to team.
yada yada yada. lemme tell you this. I loved baseball before i ever heard of steroids, before there was the term " free agent", before there were million dollar
journeymen. I loved seeing a guy throw 90mph, hitting a ball sky high, sliding catches, the green grass and the red dirt and the white chalk lines long before any
of that came to be and nothing, and i do mean nothing will ever make that change.
sorry but it just wont. so wail and moan, swear and pout, cuss and discuss if you
must. but me...i am just gonna wait till spring training and dig right back in.
just like i would if something bad happened to the BOYS of the BLUE STAR.

Steroids can't help hand-eye co-ordination.
Hitters get bigger and stronger but if you can't see it you can't hit it. So move the fences back the way they were when baseball was young.
Pitchers extending their careers using steroids can't extend squat if they aren't getting the ball over the plate.
Steroids are not what is wrong in baseball.
This is not an endorsement for steroids.
